Welcome to the Sebastian Medical Museum, the world's first medical museum dedicated to preserve the historic contributions of African-Americans in the field of medicine. The Sebastian Medical Museum comprises of three historical sites, the Sebastian House, the Historic L. Richardson Memorial Hospital, and Grace Lutheran Church. The Sebastian Medical Museum is building a Professional Medical Center to provide care to locals and train minorities for high paying careers.

The Sebastian Information Center
Begin your Sebastian exploration at the Sebastian Medical Museum Information Center in the first building, popularly known as the Sebastian House, which is opened Tuesday- Saturday, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday, from 2:00-4:00 pm. This distinctive red, sandstone building is centrally located on the corner of Benbow Street and E. Washington Street. You can enter from either Market Street or the Lee St. through Benbow.
Professional staff are on hand to conduct tours and share information. Additionally, a five minute video orientation is shown throughout the day.
